The Product & How It Works
The product was discovered by Dr. Allan Watson at McGill University. Dr. Watson has spent over 25 years researching novel ways to effectively control weed. Sarritor's active component is a naturally occuring fungus. When applied to a broadleaf weed, the funus will grow into the weed and absorb the plant tissues until the weed is completely gone. Once the weed is gone, the fungus disappears. It usually takes between 5 and 7 days to eliminate the weeds. Grass has a natural defense mechanism against the product so all grass types cannot be harmed. This technology actually uses the weeds' natural enemy to control it.
The product does not pose a risk to human health or the environment and is compatible with normal lawn maintenence operations such as mowing, fertilization, and irrigation.
We reccomend applying the product in the spring and the fall when the weeds are actively growing. The product can be applied any time during the day provided the temperature is not above 25 degrees Celsius. You can walk on the grass and water your lawn immediately after the product is applied. However, we reccomend waiting 3 days before mowing or playing games on the grass since the product requires some time to establish itself in the weeds and start to work. The productrequires moisture to work effectively. Therefore, it will work better on rainy days.
